1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Courso ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Platform.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily access the materials (courses, information, software) on Courso for personal, non-commercial use only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- Modify or copy the materials
- Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
- Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the Platform
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
- Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Platform and for any activities or actions under your password.
4. Course Content and Intellectual Property
All course content, including but not limited to videos, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Courso or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.
Instructors retain ownership of their course content but grant Courso a license to host, display, and distribute the content through the Platform.
5. Instructor Responsibilities
If you are an instructor on the Platform, you agree to:
- Create original content or have the rights to use all materials in your courses
- Not upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
- Provide accurate course descriptions and learning objectives
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with students
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Student Responsibilities
As a student, you agree to:
- Use courses for personal learning purposes only
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not download or distribute course content without permission
- Respect intellectual property rights of instructors
- Maintain respectful communication in forums and discussions
7. Payment and Refunds
Payment for courses is processed through Stripe. All payments are subject to Stripe's terms and conditions.
Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are granted at the discretion of Courso and the course instructor.
8. Certificates
Certificates of completion are awarded upon successful completion of course requirements. Certificates are digital documents and do not represent academic credit or professional certification unless explicitly stated.
9. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Platform:
- In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- To transmit any advertising or promotional material
- To impersonate or attempt to impersonate another user
- To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the Platform
- To introduce viruses, trojans, or other malicious code
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Courso, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
12. Disclaimer
Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk. The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranty that the Platform will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
